an. Dort kann man fein essen waehrend man den Hunden beim rennen zusieht und hinterher zum "Nachtisch" kann man Greyhounds fuer einen geringen Geldbeitrag adoptieren. Zum heulen!!!! (Ich wette was, dass bei den Kaeufern keinerlei Nachforschungen angestellt werden und viele dieser Greyhounds irgendwo in einem Labor landen!! )
Kann mich natuerlich auch irren, aber all das auf einer HP? Von Rennen und Profit zur Adoption? Eine Rennbahn mit Heiligenschein?
Und so sieht also das "Angebot" aus, dass diese Hunderennbahn der Oeffentlichkeit macht:
Corpus Christi Dog Track (and all other greyhound tracks) hosts the adopt-a-greyhound program. Fans can adopt one (or more) dogs right at the race track.
Mit anderen Worten, jeder Idiot, der einen moechte, kann einen haben....
Although the dogs are trained athletes, once they retire they are considered among the most affectionate, well behaved and intelligent pets.
Die Hunde sind zumeist so abgestumpft, dass ihnen so ziemlich alles egal ist....
They don't bark continuously+#8230;they don't jump on you+#8230;they travel well+#8230;and in most cases the adoptable greyhounds are quite young (2-3yrs old) with a life expectancy of 11 years.
Wie gesagt: Tiere mit gebrochenem Willen... es dauert ewig, bis sie wieder "normal" werden, dh. bellen, spielen und Lebenszeichen geben....

Wie gesagt: Die sind unendlich dankbar, endlich mal ein geregeltes Leben und eine Bezugsperson zu haben.
The dogs are offered for adoption with only a nominal processing charge.
Und das Geld wird dann in weiteren Zuchtprogrammen verwendet.. toll!!
